New Year, New Challenge!
The much loved Futures Challenge has just had its 8th birthday so we thought that it was a good time to give it a bit of a boost.
The Futures Challenge is a regional competition that encourages young people to develop great ideas by considering new technology. It makes a practical crossover between science, technology and enterprise and its success is largely due to the support from regional companies who supply business representatives to mentor the students. It has been really popular with schools over the last 8 years and we want to make it even better!
As you and your students are the people who make the challenge so successful, we would like your help! We are holding a series of teacher workshops throughout 2008 with an opportunity for you to test out the Futures Challenge (old and new!) for yourself. The workshop includes an ideas’ generation session and hints and tips on how to protect your students’ wacky ideas and intellectual property. It’s also a great opportunity to take lots of free resources back to school.
Workshop Dates:
Wednesday 12th March, 10am - 2.30pm
Thursday 13th March, 10am – 2.30pm
Workshops will be held at RTC North, refreshments and lunch will be provided
