Cramlington Youth Group

Young People with learning difficulties from Cramlington have been improving their business skills with the help of the Education Futures Team.

The trainees from Cramlington Youth Project took time out of their summer programme to learn skills to set up a mini business. The young people painted and decorated garden pots, made jewellery and cards, baked cakes and potted up vegetables to sell at their market sale which took place at the centre in Cramlington Village.

Julie Gibson, Project Development Worker at the centre said “The enterprise program has been a great success, with all proceeds raised going to support youth centre activities."

Mike Hawkins, Project Management Senior Specialist at One North East sampled some of the produce at the market stall and also presented certificates of achievement to all of those involved.
